Necklaces for ashes
A Kavacha is an amulet necklace that opens by hand to a private chamber. Families use it to keep a small amount of a loved one's ashes close, or a prayer, a lock of hair or a little earth. The necklaces here have the most room inside, largest first, each cast in 925 sterling silver and ready to ship within 2 business days.
How much each one holds
Every chamber was measured from its design file with the cap closed. The largest, the Kerala Large and the Pankaj, measure about 3.6 to 3.7 ml inside, with openings of about 11 to 12 mm. The slimmest here, the Capsule Small and the Moksha, measure about 0.5 ml. A real fill is somewhat less, because you leave room for the cap to close, and ashes are a coarse powder, so these figures are a guide, not a promise of weight. Chamber sizes gives every design side by side.
How it closes
Each chamber closes by hand with a twist-lock, and the cap stays on the chain: chamber sizes describes how.
