Vertical amulets

These amulets hang upright: slim, vertical forms with a private chamber inside. Kavacha is Sanskrit for spiritual armor, and each Kavacha is a prayer amulet that opens. Each one opens to an inner chamber with a gasketed closure that can hold a written prayer, a lock of hair, a small amount of ashes or another small keepsake.

Vertical Cross is a vertical capsule that houses the cross, honoring the Christian tradition; it measures approximately 40 mm × 7.9 mm. Kerala Vertical is a small hexagonal amulet worn upright, inspired by the belt worn by Muslim women in Kerala, India, in the early 20th century; baguette stones run along its length, white cubic zirconia in sterling silver and lab-grown diamonds in gold. Capsule Small is a compact, cylindrical amulet with clean, straight lines, sized for everyday wear, approximately 21.6 mm × 7.5 mm. Moksha is Sanskrit for liberation: a long, thin amulet approximately 43 mm tall, inspired by a 1970s brass pendant from San Francisco.

Each design comes in sterling silver (925), ready to ship within 2 business days, and in 14K or 18K yellow gold, made to order. Each gold piece takes 4 to 6 weeks to make. Each piece is designed by Jayashri Triolo, founder of Kavacha Designs, and weights and dimensions vary slightly from piece to piece.
