Refund policy

Sterling silver pieces
You have 30 days after receiving a sterling silver piece to request a return. The piece must be unused, in the condition you received it, in its original packaging (velvet pouch and authentication card), with proof of purchase; a piece that has been used cannot be returned. To start a return, email jayashri@kavachadesigns.com. Once your return is accepted, we send you a prepaid return shipping label: you do not pay for return shipping. Items sent back without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

14K and 18K gold pieces
14K and 18K gold pieces are made to order for you and take 4 to 6 weeks to make. They are non-refundable and non-returnable, and a 14K or 18K gold order cannot be cancelled once it is placed.

Cancelling an order
Sterling silver orders can be cancelled: email us as soon as possible. 14K and 18K gold orders cannot be cancelled.

Damage, design flaws and repairs
Please inspect your piece when it arrives and contact us right away if it is damaged, defective or not what you ordered. There is no formal warranty, but we stand behind our work: design flaws are fixed free of charge. Normal wear and tear and damage caused by use are not covered for free, but we can repair them; the price depends on the repair. Repairs and chain alterations are done in Jayashri's studio. Email us to arrange one.

Custom designs
A custom design starts with a $100 design fee. The price of the piece is set once the design is agreed, and half of it is paid as a deposit before the piece goes to casting. Custom pieces cannot be returned.

Other exceptions
Special orders cannot be returned. We cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

Exchanges
To exchange a sterling silver piece, return it as above and, once the return is accepted, place a new order for the piece you want.

Refunds
We will let you know once we have received and inspected your return, and whether the refund is approved. Approved refunds go back to your original payment method; your bank or card company may take a few days to post it.
