Privacy policy

Last updated: 29 September 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Kavacha Designs | Sacred Armor™ (Kavacha Designs LLC, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and shares your personal information when you visit or make a purchase from kavachadesigns.com (the “Site”).

PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT

When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. As you browse the Site, we also collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically collected information as “Device Information”.

We collect Device Information using the following technologies:

  • “Cookies” are data files that are placed on your device or computer and often include an anonymous unique identifier. For more information about cookies, and how to disable cookies, visit http://www.allaboutcookies.org.
  • “Log files” track actions occurring on the Site, and collect data including your IP address, browser type, Internet service provider, referring/exit pages, and date/time stamps.
  • “Web beacons”, “tags” and “pixels” are small pieces of code used to record how you browse the Site. The tags on our Site are listed under “Sharing your personal information” below.

When you make a purchase or attempt to make a purchase through the Site, we collect your name, billing address, shipping address, email address, phone number and the details of your order. We refer to this information as “Order Information”. The same applies to orders placed through our other sales channels, such as the Shop app, Whatnot, Facebook and Instagram. Payment details are entered into and processed by our payment providers (Shopify Payments and the payment options offered at checkout, such as Shop Pay, PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay); we never see or store your full card number.

We also keep what you choose to send us: messages through the chat on our Site or by email, notes and sign-up forms, and reviews and photos you submit.

When we talk about “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we mean Device Information, Order Information and the messages, reviews and form entries described above.

HOW DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

We use Order Information to fulfill your order: processing your payment, arranging shipping, and sending invoices and order confirmations. We also use your Personal Information to:

  • communicate with you about your order and answer your questions;
  • screen our orders for potential risk or fraud;
  • ask you, after your order, whether you would like to review your piece;
  • send you news and offers by email, only if you have agreed to receive them (every email has an unsubscribe link);
  • measure and improve the Site and our advertising, and show you advertising for our products (see “Behavioural advertising” below).

SHARING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

We share your Personal Information with the service providers that help us run the store, as described below.

  • Shopify powers our online store, checkout, payments, the Shop app, the chat on our Site and our marketing emails. You can read how Shopify uses your Personal Information here: https://www.shopify.com/legal/privacy.
  • Google Analytics helps us understand how visitors use the Site. You can opt out of Google Analytics here: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
  • Google Ads measures which of our ads lead to visits and purchases and shows our ads to people who have visited the Site. When you make a purchase, a hashed (scrambled) version of your email address and phone number may be sent to Google so the purchase can be matched to an ad (“enhanced conversions”).
  • Google Merchant Center shows our products on Google and measures sales that come from those listings.
  • Google Customer Reviews: if you opt in on the order confirmation page, Google emails you a short survey about your order. Nothing is sent if you do not opt in.
  • You can read how Google uses your Personal Information here: https://policies.google.com/privacy, and how Google uses information from sites that use its services here: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
  • Pinterest: the Pinterest tag measures visits and purchases that come from our Pinterest ads. Pinterest’s privacy policy: https://policy.pinterest.com/privacy-policy.
  • Meta (Facebook and Instagram): the Meta pixel and Meta’s Conversions API measure visits and purchases that come from our Facebook and Instagram ads, and help show our ads to people who have visited the Site. When you make a purchase, a hashed (scrambled) version of your email address and phone number may be sent to Meta so the purchase can be matched to an ad. Meta’s privacy policy: https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy.
  • Whatnot: if you buy from us on Whatnot, Whatnot shares your name, shipping address and order details with us so we can send your order. Whatnot’s privacy policy: https://www.whatnot.com/privacy.
  • Loox sends you an email after your order asking for a review, and displays the reviews and photos customers choose to publish. Loox’s privacy policy: https://loox.app/privacy-policy.
  • Shipping carriers, such as the US Postal Service, receive your name and shipping address to deliver your order.

Finally, we may also share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.

BEHAVIOURAL ADVERTISING

As described above, we use your Personal Information to provide you with advertisements or marketing communications we believe may be of interest to you. For more information about how targeted advertising works, you can visit the Network Advertising Initiative’s (“NAI”) educational page at http://www.networkadvertising.org/understanding-online-advertising/how-does-it-work.

Customer lists. We may share a hashed (scrambled) copy of the email addresses and phone numbers of our customers and email subscribers with Meta (Custom Audiences) and Google (Customer Match). The information is hashed before it is sent. Meta and Google compare it with their own users to show our ads to people who already know us, to reach people similar to our customers, or to leave existing customers out of ads meant for new ones. Information that does not match is deleted. To be left out of these lists, email us at jayashri@kavachadesigns.com.

You can opt out of targeted advertising by using the links below:

  • Google: https://adssettings.google.com
  • Meta (Facebook and Instagram): https://www.facebook.com/adpreferences
  • Pinterest: https://help.pinterest.com/en/article/personalization-and-data

Additionally, you can opt out of some of these services by visiting the Digital Advertising Alliance’s opt-out portal at http://optout.aboutads.info/.
