Sacred Armor collection
Kavacha Designs | Sacred Armor™ brings its openable amulets together in this collection. Kavacha means armor in Sanskrit. Each Kavacha is a prayer amulet with a private chamber inside, made to be worn close and handed down. The chamber can hold a written prayer, a lock of hair, a small amount of ashes or another small keepsake.
Narashimha is the cornerstone of the collection and the first piece Jayashri Triolo ever made. The other designs take their forms from specific amulet traditions and objects: the tawiz belt of Kerala, the Bedouin hirz, the taweez, the wedding silver of Northern Yemen and a 1970s San Francisco brass pendant. They range from dainty pendants to large amulets, worn horizontal or upright.
The pieces shown here are sterling silver (925) and ready to ship within 2 business days; 14K and 18K gold editions are made to order and gathered in the 14K and 18K Gold collection. Each piece is designed by Jayashri, who founded Kavacha in 2018, and is cast, finished and hallmarked with the Kavacha hallmark and a branded K tag. Weights and dimensions are nominal and vary slightly from piece to piece.
